In support of the Traffic Safety Week declared by the police, SIF conducted an awareness campaign across 140 Mumbai schools in 3 languages. Children were educated on the importance of simple traffic habits in order to prevent accidents. Armed with banners, posters and slogans prepared by them, these young ambassadors then came out on the roads, at traffic signals and outside their schools to spread the message to passers-by. Effectively engaging them in conversation, they successfully convinced them to follow rules like wearing helmets, seat belts, using pedestrian crossings and avoid speaking on their mobiles while driving or crossing.
